History

1975

Han Knol B Sc established Passe-Partout Survey. Its goal: to transfer knowledge and skills pertaining to modern dimensional measurement techniques in the steel and shipbuilding sectors.

1980

Expansion of consultancy and training activities into the building and construction sectors.  

1983

Start-up of projects within Europe. Measurements on an office building in London. 

1990

The first total stations are introduced in the market. This instrument enables us to perform complex jobs more efficiently.

1992

Start-up of projects worldwide: in South Africa

1993

Introduction of the Sokkia MonMos, the 3D measurement system in the industry.

1999

Take-over of GeoW (Civil Building & Construction).

2004

Purchase of first 3D-laser scanner HDS2500. In the South China Sea we scanned the piping of an FPSO vessel (Floating Production Storage offloading) for the first time.

2006

Purchase of second 3D-laser scanner HDS4500 (phase-difference scanner for industrial plants). We scanned the metal structure of the roof of Ikea. Processing of the scan data in software package Cyclone.

2007

Take-over of surveying company DELTA Surveys B.V. (civil engineering, building and construction surveys)

2008

Purchase of third 3D-laser scanner Scan Station 2 (360 degree scan for Building and Civil engineering sectors). Infrastructural projects are ideal for Scan Station2.

2008

Purchase of 3D-laser tracker for machinery and equipment manufacturing, with an accuracy of 0.02 mm depending on the project. We measured a jacking frame with the 3D-laser tracker in Austria.

2009

The economic crisis also affects Passe-Partout.

2010

Passe-Partout celebrates its 35 existence. A Works Council has been founded and Passe-Partout opens an establishment in Vlissingen.

Passe-Partout distinguishes itself by an extensive package of professional instruments. Our strength as an "early adapter" is 3D measuring on land and water. With an accuracy of 10 cm to 0.01 mm.
